Andrew Lawson, who was previously a partner at major Leeds law firm Lee & Priestley, has joined Raworths of Harrogate in their commercial property unit. Andrew joins the unit lead by partner Jo Thirsk, which also includes partners Ian Shuttleworth and Janice Dale and solicitor Madeline Mannakee.
Andrew Lawson is a specialist in residential development and brings a wealth of expertise both in this area and in working with landlords and tenants and in multiple retail development. His experience also includes acting for residential builders in site acquisition and with property developers in both acquisitions and disposals.
He is originally from Leeds and attended Woodhouse Grove School before studying law at Leicester University. He trained at Emsley Collins in Leeds and was admitted to the Law Society in 1985. He moved to Walker Morris in 1988 specialising in commercial property. He joined Dunn Connell (now Read Dunn Connell) in Bradford in 1992 where he became a partner specialising in residential development work. He moved to Lee & Priestley in 2003 as a property partner.
Andrew brings the size of the team working in property-related matters at Raworths to fifteen.
